Welp, November is officially over. I still kind of feel like 2013 just got here, but now here we are at the cusp of the big 1-4.
This was a busy month for us in many ways. We returned from Europe early in the month and then immediately took a trip to Kansas City to look for apartments. Yes, we’re moving!
The good news is we found a space we love and signed a lease. At the present time we’re getting our things all settled into our new apartment and looking forward to a season of exploring a new city, as well as continuing to create content for Minimalist Baker. We are sort of kind of thrilled about it all.
As for what we accomplished on the blog in November…
What We Made // Recipes
1. Vegan Pumpkin Spice Pancakes// 2. Creamy Eggplant Dip // 3. Grilled Almond Butter, Dark Chocolate Pomegranate Sandwich // 4. Brown Sugar Pear Steel Cut Oats // 5. Creamy No Bake Pumpkin Pie (V, GF)
What We Did
- We helped host a Friendsgiving party with all the fixings. We made this turkey, this quinoa caesar salad, and this GF fruit crisp but with apples. Everything was so, so delicious and we felt like real adults pulling off such an impressive spread. I already can’t wait for Friendsgiving next year.
- BIG switcheroo: We ordered a new camera! We’ve been longtime Nikon users (3 years) but are ready to try out a new system as we expand our professional portfolio and continue digging further into the world of food photography. We went with the Canon 5D Mark III and a couple of lenses. So far I’m in full-blown love. Full reviews to come soon as well as an update to our camera bag.
- Created a NEW cookbook! We currently putting on the finishing touches before its upcoming release. “31 Meals” will offer a month’s worth of healthy, simple dinner recipes + weekly meal plans and shopping lists so you can feed your crew for an entire month with virtually zero stress or planning. It’s been one of my favorite projects to date and caters to just about everyone, as every recipe is vegan and gluten free-optional. Stayed tuned for more details coming soon!
What We’re Craving
This month we are craving all things winter-y, so expect a little gingerbread, a little peppermint, a little chocolate and a lot of Christmas-recipe inspiration. We, can’t, wait.
See you back soon for a new recipe!
Cheers, Dana & John
