Happy Wednesday and welcome to a new feature on Minimalist Baker – our end of month recap! Here we’ll highlight the most popular and important things we tackled this month, including recipes, blog resources and travels.
If you run on internet time like we do, it’s easy to forget what happened yesterday, let alone an entire month ago. So this is a fun and simple way to chronicle all of the things you saw on our site this month, and hopefully highlight a few of the things you missed. Let’s start with food eats!
What We Made // Recipes
Next up, blog resources. We’ve been populating our blogger resources page for well over a year now to equip new and seasoned bloggers with the tools they need to start and grow their food blogs. Today we’re highlighting one of our favorite resources we’ve added so far: How to Spot Edit Dark Photos in Photoshop [Video]! Be on the lookout as we add new blog- and photography- specific resources weekly.
What We Did
- We were interviewed by the Wichita Business Journal about our blog, and our moms couldn’t be more proud. Read the article here.
- We discovered half price 18-ounce margaritas at a local Latin restaurant called Sabor. My life will never be the same.
- Last weekend we traveled to San Antonio to visit some long-lost Kansas friends, and then skipped up to Austin to meet Jeanine and Jack of Love and Lemons for dinner and drinks. Not a bad 27th birthday present if you ask me. Those are some good people.
- While in Austin we also inhaled some stellar breakfast tacos at Tacodeli (OH MY), and guzzled some top-notch coffee at Caffe Medici. Both stellar, both recommendations of @loveandlemons. Those kids have palates.
What We’re Craving
And last but not least, the flavor we’re most looking forward to in August: Peach! Expect plenty of peach-laden recipes in the upcoming month (whoop whoop!). Fist bump for stone fruit.
See ya tomorrow for a new recipe!
