Always pan and lid for our review

Updated 2/22/21

We purchased the Always Pan in August 2020 and have been using it almost every day to put it to the test.

We didn’t have any complaints for the first 6 months (easy to clean, heats quickly, non stick, the works), and absolutely would recommend it. However, as some other readers suggested, after about 6 months the nonstick coating wore off and was no longer non-stick, which is a huge bummer because we loved the pan otherwise.

I will note, we never put it it in the dishwasher and used it on high heat sparingly. So I don’t believe it was user error.

Pros

  • It’s beautifully designed and comes in many colors (we have our eyes on the lilac shade next)
  • It’s lightweight (4 lbs. including the lid)
  • It’s easy to clean initially (and dishwasher safethough we recommend hand washing), however, after 6 months when the non-stick coating weakened, cleaning became more difficult)
  • It really is nonstick…at first. But after 6 months the non-stick was no longer as effective
  • It heats quickly and evenly
  • It doesn’t require much (or any) oil when cooking (great for those cooking with less or no oil)
  • It’s well designed with a custom steam basket and nesting spatula
  • The company is doing its best to do business ethically and sustainably

Cons

  • It’s expensive — $145 USD (but considering it’s multi-functional, it does save money if replacing other cookware)
  • It’s not oven-safe (cast iron still has a leg up here)
  • It’s not deep enough to boil a substantial amount of ingredients in my opinion
  • Most notably, after ~6 months of gentle, responsible use, the non-stick coating wore off.

Is The Always Pan Safe?

One of the main questions I received when sharing I’d purchased the Always Pan was “Is it safe?” According to all the information available on their website and information they provided when contacted directly, I would say yes.

The Always Pan features an “exclusive non-toxic, nonstick ceramic coating made without potentially toxic materials like PFOAs, PTFEs, other PFAs, lead, cadmium, toxic metals, and nanoparticals.”

Also from the company:

“Our product is free of lead and heavy metals both for the interior and exterior of the Always Pan. We’re working on some testing that will be available on our site for all our customers (new and old!) to be as transparent as possible.”

Showing the steamer basket in the Always Pan

As far as cooking goes, it’s kind of a dream. We love the steamer basket that allows for a sizable quantity of ingredients.

And the handles on the sides make it easy to lift out once done cooking. (Note: Always be careful when handling a hot pan.)

Steaming broccoli in the Always Pan

It also sautés incredibly well and requires very little to no oil thanks to the nonstick surface (again, at first it sautés great, but as the pan wears, it’s no longer nonstick). I’ve tested it with oil, a light amount of oil, no oil, and water for sautéing and each worked well.

Sautéing vegetables in the Always Pan

The ultimate test? Frying an egg. For the first 6 months it worked beautifully, but after that point, most foods (especially eggs) started sticking to the pan even when a little oil was applied.

Cooking an egg in the Always Pan

We do love the depth of the pan, which allows for sautéing and stir frying a sizable portion of ingredients without spillage.

Cooking spaghetti squash in the Always Pan
Pouring cashew sauce over spaghetti squash in the Always Pan

One thing we do love: aesthetics. It’s incredibly beautiful and the color range is stunning. We have the color “spice,” but also eyed “lavender.” “Sage” is also a stunner. And minimalists will delight in the colors “char” and “steam.”

The pan is also great for serving as it’s lightweight and even looks pretty when plopped down on the table for serving.

Cooking spaghetti squash pasta in the Always Pan

Perhaps the best part about the Always Pan? CLEANING. It’s SO easy to clean. (Again, this is largely at first but as the pan ages and more things stick, cleaning becomes less of a breeze).

Using a soapy sponge to clean the Always Pan

While it’s technically dishwasher safe, the dishwasher is inevitably tough on cookware, so I’d recommend sticking to hand washing to preserve the non-stick longterm.

Drying the Always Pan with a dish towel

More Thoughts

Several readers reached out to us and either praised the pan as the ultimate kitchen companion or said the nonstick coating wore off in a matter of weeks.

At first, we didn’t notice this. But after ~6 months, the nonstick coating started wearing off. If you already own an Always Pan, to help prevent this from happening we strongly recommend the following steps:

  1. It’s not intended to be used over high heat for sustained periods of time (it’s better on medium to low heat)
  2. It wears best when hand washed (avoid dishwashing)
  3. It should not be used with metal cooking tools (like spatulas or whisks) or cleaned with abrasive sponges (like steel wool).

Always Pan in spice color

Do We Recommend The Always Pan?

At first, yes (whole heartedly). But after 6 months, no. It’s just not justifiable due to the high price tag. And ultimately, if it’s advertised as a non-stick pan, it should remain nonstick! I still use the pan for stir fries and saucy things. But when I want non-stick I go for my cast iron. Such a bummer.

I have been using the large fry pan and the small one almost continuously for 14 months, Both are still non stick, my fried eggs slide about all over the place and both take minimal washing still, they have lasted way better than my pro cook pans, I have just bought another 2 for when these give up, but so far so good.

  2. Holly says

I can attest to this review. If you look at all the marketing around their “thousands of egg tests” they always show images of eggs that are unbroken and unflipped. I eat scrambled eggs regularly and they obliterated the pan within 6 months. The weak non-stick coating demands an oil barrier and any food that breaks through this will start to stick and ruin the pan over time. Bought a green pan and had a much better experience as their ceramic non-stick contains diamond dust so it doesn’t get scratched and abraded.

  3. Paul Hoskin says

I agree wholeheartedly with your review. After a short while and carefully following all instructions the plastic surround on the handle split. It was replaced with no issues. Then the surface started to get really sticky. They offered to replace the pan but I declined and it now rests in my garage. I’m happily using Hexclad now!

  4. John says

I have several of the pans and pots. Frankly, they are not worth it. And the customer service representatives are not sympathetic and basically just said tough luck. My non stick pan is no longer non stick and the bottom is very discolored in spite of my diligent cleaning.

    • Sue says

Hi agree with you John, I have lightly used my pans and all are sticking now, even the colour is fading away on the top of the pan, the lid handle is always coming loose, so like you I would not buy another of these pans, only nice thing is the choice of colours.

  5. Rishi Ramjotton says

I have had the exact same issue. I am so upset as it is an expensive purchase, and I primarily chose this from the non stick (non chemical). Now even with oil added, my eggs stick and I can’t turn them. The pan is almost useless to me. I hope there is a warranty, I’ve emailed the company to inform them that the non stick has failed already. I’m in the UK.

  6. Ann Prade says

I agree with Cal—it is a POS pan! I was given one for my birthday and after less than 6 months everything sticks despite taking excellent care of it. I, too, called the company and got the run around. So, let this serve as a caution, don’t buy this product. Incidentally, I heard that their positive reviews are done by paid employees, so if that is true, this was a scam from the beginning!

  7. Kristen says

I have this pan too and while I followed all the same guidelines listed above, mine is unusable at this point. I reach out to the company and they don’t stand behind their product which is sad and likely means there all scratched and chipped always pans all over the US. Do not buy! Try scan pan. They are pretty amazing.

  8. Wilma says

I have been seriously considering buying each of my 3 children and myself one of these pans for Christmas. I am so tired of the crappy non-stick non-toxic pan we have all been buying (that become toxic when they start to peel!). After reading this I have decided absolutely not! Thank you so much for doing this research for me and giving me an honest review.
    Wilma
PS if you ever come up with a better product in this area please let me know!!

  9. Jenni Giatroudakis says

I got one last Christmas and absolutely loved it for a while until one day EVERYTHING started to stick to it. I always hand wash and feel like I take care of it as was instructed. I’ve had it 16 months. I emailed the company but they won’t back their product after a year. It’s a $145 pan!!!! One single pan!!! I had a $60 set from 1995 that lasted longer than this. Absolutely frustrating.

  10. Cyndy says

Thank you so much for such an honest review! I guess I will stay with my All Clad which by the way, their non-stick is no better. Even with great care, I get maybe 6-12 months out of one. I am convinced there is no such a thing as a lasting non-stick pan. Again, thank you for this great review!

  11. Beverly says

I have purchased the pan in December 2022. It was great at first ( 3 months ).
Now after 3 month, it started to sticking even with oil. I’ve been so gentle and careful with washing though. And moreover, the paint started to peeling off around the handle. It’s a pricey pan. I’m quite surprised to see what happened to the pan after only use of 4 months. So I sent an email to the company. They were generous and offered an exchange. I don’t know how it should be done though.

  12. Kwizmon says

This is why I don’t use non stick. It’s either poisonous or extremely expensive and stops working after a short time. I only use carbon steel (that I’ve seasoned) , cast iron and stainless steel. What else could you possibly need? 😁

  13. Rebecca says

My son and daughter in law want these pans. I would have already purchased them, but they are debating the color they want. These reviews are certainly worth considering! My question is with all of the stressing ‘no metal utensils, wood only!’ why a stainless steel steamer basket is used. Won’t that scratch the finish?

    • Cal says

Honestly, this is such a POS pan. I might be too late, but if you can, don’t buy it.
We had 2 gifted to us for christmas from 2 different people. One lasted us maybe 3 months. The other (I’m not exaggerating) lasted us maybe 3 uses and things started sticking. They say that you’re not supposed to cook on high heat, I usually cook on 5 or 6 out of 10 heat.
Absolute Garbage. Glad I didn’t pay for it.

  14. Gail HD says

I totally agree except that my pan lost its non stick within the first month! No high heat, always hand washed, no metal used etc. So bummed. I’ve tried using the little “scrubby” that is supplied but it won’t remove the discolouration where the food now sticks.

  15. Bill says

Chalk me up to the dissatisfied customer list as well. It worked well for the first year, maybe, now almost everything sticks. I still use it to steam and boil small items but will end up reaching for my Staub pans, old cast-iron skillet, or Calphalon wok instead.

For the price? Much better options out there.

  16. Lily solis says

Was a gift from son & daughter in law about6 months ago really like it just noticed two tiny chips on it always use wood or Teflon spoons to cook could it have been cooked on food

  17. Tera says

When visiting my daughter-in-law I saw her pan and asked about it. She said she really like it so I bought one for myself and three others for other family members. I babied by pan by only hand washing and never using high heat. After a month I noticed the outside coating lifted in a small place and notified the company. They immediately sent me a new pan and asked that I return the damaged one. The second pan was used probably three times a week and was babied just as much as the first pan. However, after about four months I began to notice that things were beginning to stick. I notified the company and again they sent me a new pan immediately. So far so good. After reading some of the other reviews about the nonstick material wearing off I am still wondering about that and how mine will do. If it begins to stick after six months then my review would have to be that although this pan is beautiful (in my opinion) it would not be worth the money. If it does not stick then I will continue to buy and give as gifts! Time will tell. What I am sure about is their customer service. They have been great to deal with.

Hi Kelly, we’re still on the search! We tested the Green Pan, but it’s no longer nonstick. We’ve been eyeing some other brands like Caraway!

  18. Marian Clarke says

So good to find an honest review that can be trusted (even though it does mean I won’t buy it – I hope they do some work on it and improve the life; for that money I’d need it to last a couple of years).
    Thank youi

  19. Kristine Genovese says

Shoot!! I was literally just about to purchase this pan, but decided to read a few more reviews. I’m glad I found yours: between your experience and those of all of the commenters, it’s clear it can’t hold up to regular use with even gentle care. Thanks for posting this!!

  20. Alaina Schweiger says

I think some of the problem with w on-stock is that the individuals who complain about not lasting, have to take real good look at how they are using the pan. Wood utensils ONLY! No dishwashers. No high heat.
If you’re still having problems, take it up with the company. I made my purchase in November, 2022. I hope they’ve made some changes & upgrades.

    • Judy A says

I got one for Christmas last year (2021) and it’s still nonstick. I would say it’s my most used pan. I do hand wash, but that’s super easy and never use metal utensils in it. Other than that, I just use it like a regular pan. My daughter still loves hers and she’s had it even longer.

  21. Holly Smart says

Hi! Yes, my experience as well with the non-stick surface – completely wore off and now can’t even scramble eggs (even with a little oil) without it completely sticking and cleaning is a nightmare (soaking needed, etc). However, I do love the size, the color choices (we have the sage? Green) – wish it was oven-proof, too. It’s such a “happy” pan if that makes sense, I do still like it. One other thing – the handle gets hot when cooking – I have to put a mit on it so I don’t forget and grab it. I’m hoping they improve it as it would be my goto every time – and I would buy more than one! Thank you for the opportunity!

  22. Catherine says

Such a disappointment. Initially I bought an Always pan for myself and for my mother. Liked it so much I bought 3 more for gifts. I was very careful to use a small amount of fat (avocado oil) and let it cook before washing it, still it quickly lost its non stick ability. For $145, I expected better.
Don’t waste your money. There are other brands for 20% of the price.

  23. Lindsey says

I have used my pan for about 2 weeks. So far, so good. My only complaint is that the handle on the backside of the pan is not non-heat as is the front handle. A very simple design flaw to fix. Why they didn’t do this in the first place is beyond me.

  24. Lisa wilson says

I loved my Always Pan! Told everyone about it and even purchased one for my daughter for her wedding shower. Now…so disappointed as everything is now sticking. I have taken great care of it, always hand washed. I hesitate to even use it now. So disappointing.

  25. vera says

I enjoyed the always pan for the first year. At some point, we could not cook eggs in it due to the fact that even with a good amount of butter, eggs stick. When I purchased the Always Pan, I put my cast iron skilled (a staple on the stove for 20 years), out in the garage; but have since switched back to the oldie-but-a-goodie, well-seasoned, cast iron and scrapped the Always Pan. I was sucked in by the hype. The outside of the always pan lost it appeal when it became harder to clean. It’s just not worth the money.

  26. Lisa Vyles says

I just received this pan as a Mother’s Day gift from my son and daughter-in-law. My DIL has one of these pans and I’m constantly admiring it when she cooks with it. To date, I have not heard any complaints from her and I doubt she would have purchased such an expensive pan for me, as a gift, if she was aware of the troubles with the pan.
My biggest comment/question is this…Has anyone contacted the company to find out if they are aware of the issues consumers are experiencing and what are they doing to try and make this right. Using a pan at a cost of $25/mo is not smart – especially for your budget!! I truly hope that someone has heard from them. I hope they are not burying their heads in the sand and hoping it goes away!! Would appreciate any feedback you may have received or haven’t received.
    Thank you for your time.

I have only cooked eggs in my pan and it stopped being nonstick pretty fast. It also has started smoking and smelling funny. I have taken really good care of it. I’m going to stick with cast iron and stainless steel from now on. The only thing good about this skillet is it’s pretty. It needs to be more than good looks. I will never buy another one of these skillets.

  28. Andy says

Sorry but I just came here to vent about how tired I am of the ads for this product. The inventor who does the ads comes off as pretentious IMO. She is driving me crazy to the point I sought out a place to share this. Now that I see how many people she took money from promising a single product to replace all others I am even more upset with her. I hope nobody donated all their old cookware only to find they have to buy new again in less than a year of daily use. ☹️

  29. Michelle says

After purchasing the Always Pan for ourselves, and a set for a family member for Christmas, I too need a specialized treatment to deal with how I’ve been burned! I’m feel very angry and misled by this company! Our pan is worthless (as it’s non-stick coating has ghosted us!). The outside of the pan is no longer pretty but rather covered in horrible looking stains everywhere. I’m embarrassed that I purchased this as a gift for another household. I’m usually an exceptional gift giver.. It’s one of my favorite things to do, providing incredible & sometimes pricey gifts to my favorite people. I really try to do my due diligence on a product. I’m highly disappointed in the Always Pan company & it’s “Always Pan”…?! NOT

  30. Ashley MacKenzie says

This is still non-stick coating processed with silicone. There is no regulations on what constitutes ceramic so long as silicone dioxide is involved. This is not a ceramic pan.

PFOAs have been outlawed for decades.

This is still toxic to birds.

  31. Patricia Hergert says

My problem with this pan is the outside surface and bottom. It is all stained including the colored surface and will not come clean. I have not experienced the nonstick issue. However, the looks of my pan are really diminished and nothing cleans it up. Anyone have this problem or have a solution? Thank you

  32. Debbie says

I wish I had read these reviews before buy my Always pan. It was so pretty that I followed careful instructions to keep it looking nice while using it daily. I hand wash it, use the wooden spatula and oil the pan before cooking with it on medium heat. Eight months later I ready to toss it! Even with olive oil everything sticks and it’s very hard to clean up using the worthless little sponge provided with it. My recommendation would be to spend your money elsewhere. This Always pan isn’t worth it.

    • Hazel says

Yes, I’ve had a problem with outside of the pan, not the interior. Olive oil boiled out and stained the outside of the pan. Looks terrible, and it will not come clean. I have never put it in the dishwasher; handwash only. One spill-over, the second time I used the pan, should not have ruined its appearance. So disappointed!

  33. Paige says

Agree with this review. I I’m usually pretty good about researching things I buy but I admit the marketing got to me on this one (Plus, I figured, it’s a pan, it can’t be that bad even if it’s bad). I really liked it at first. My nonstick coating seems to have held up ok, it’s been about 6 months. However, the color finish on the pan is coming off and the handle has developed a crack and it keeps getting bigger from the heat from the stove. (Why would you make a pan that doesn’t stand up to medium heat!)

I got some nice mixing bowls from Great Jones as a gift that I like a lot, I see they have lots of pots and pans but I’m so hesitant now to spend that type of money on something like this.

  34. Charlotte Morris says

I hate that if I need to lift the pan by the handle, say to tip something out, I can’t grip close to the pan without burning my hand, making it very hard to lift. No one else has mentioned this so maybe it’s just me.

    • imouse1 says

The other handle being a burn hazard is a lawsuit that should already have happened. The handle that isn’t a burning hazard always moves around and feels like it’s going to snap.

  35. Laura says

I fell in love with this pan at first but after about a month eggs were a nightmare to fry in it and forget about pot stickers! We followed the care instructions exactly and did not even use the metal steam basket. Seems crazy they would even include that with a non stick pan. We also hand washed only with the included sponge and stored seperate from other pots and pans to avoid scratches. I’m so disappointed, I will never buy a ceramic pan again.

    • imouse1 says

Don’t give up in ceramics. This is not a ceramic pan. This is nonstick coating mixed with ceramics.

  36. Mikki Ciombor says

Thank you for the unbiased review, those are hard to find! I purchased the Always Pan in October, 2020 and received it January, 2021. I have found your observations to be spot on with the exception that it took 11 months for me to notice a significant lessening of the non-stick capabilities of the pan. Maybe I used is less often than you did during your testing? There are certain dishes I always (no pun intended) make in cast iron. I have contacted Our Place to ask if there is anything I can do to ‘refresh’ the surface, but have not heard back.

    • Avatar for Dana @ Minimalist BakerSupport @ Minimalist Baker says

Hi Mikki, we’re glad it was helpful! A reader (Anne) suggested a helpful way to restore the non-stick coating. We tried the method and found it helped somewhat. I just bought the duo (pot and pan) on a Black friday sale in Canada for 265.00cad plus tax and hopefully should be receiving them shortly. This is basically a Xmax gift for my niece who just got her first place. To be honest I did read some reviews about this pan and do expect any ceramic pan to loose iis non-stick after awhile but did not expect 6 months as you have stated. My main concern is the colours; do they fade for I got one item in cobalt bleu and the other one in steam. Just a bit nervous that they will look like and work like crap in a couple of months. Initially I was looking to purchase for her one of the new stackable pot and pan sets from Ninja instead but opted for the Always pan and pot instead for they are a lot trendier. Please let me know if the colours fade too for if so, they are going back.

  39. Patricia says

LOVE MY PAN!!! I’ve had my pan for over 2 years and not one issue with it. Nothing sticks – it’s the same as when I first purchased it. I was shocked to see all the negative comments. I always use olive or avocado oil on it. I never heat up without an oil in the pan – as I’ve done with all non-stick pans. I do use high heat and wash in the dishwasher. I just purchased one on sale (in Canada) for $125 for my daughter. Cast iron is too heavy for me to use and worry about dropping it on my ceramic stove top. My Always Pan is nice and light and easy to use.

      • Stacie says

this is good to hear, and I wonder if the make of the pan is different now, since when you bought your original purchase over two years ago.

I’ll be interested in finding out if you notice a difference in the new one you bought. If not, and it works just as well as your older one, then perhaps you have the magic touch.

I’m currently on the fence between keeping or using the one I purchased before Christmas. (still in the box!!!) The company does seem very good about returns and exchanges, which is nice!

        • Debra J says

I had some pots in my cart, but after reading these many reviews, I decided against purchasing. Then I saw this one particular review. I noticed a big difference in the way it was treated and used in cooking. The buyer heated on high, and always used olive or avocado oil. That’s the way I would cook in cast iron. It makes me wonder if this one pot needs to be treated the same way as cast iron and in saying that, I would think it would also not lose its coating and would remain non stick. It’s just a thought, but I would love to see someone do a study on this if possible. ???? Why? Because, this is two completely different ways of treatment and use for this pot. (Curious)

Hi: Thanks for the always pan review. I’ve decided to stick with my IROC set as well I use instant pot and vitamix. I was severely tempted because of the blue colours. You saved me money whi h I’ll apply to your site now. Thanks ever Sue

    Dana,

Thank you so much for this comprehensive review. I am so in love with the way this pan looks, and currently with black Friday sale the pan is CAD 125.00. I’ve been so tempted to buy!!

Your review helped make my decision so easy – will stick to my years old cast iron for now.

    Many thanks!!

    • Stephen says

Thanks for the review. I was on the fence and was reminded after reading this we have two expensive ceramic non-stick pans we do not use much anymore because these coatings wore off over time. We have parrots in our house and overheated PFOA and PTFE can kill them so we are a household of cast iron. The Always Pan is light and beautiful but I’m going to stick to my non-stick cast iron.

This is another overpriced useless item for our environment. The company has no respect for the customers who now have another piece of cookware that will be sitting in the cupboard after 6 months of use. After following all the precautions and cooking many items, the pan fails to be non stick. This company should be shamed for it’s irresponsible behavior.

With regular washing ours is still looking very nice! Just some normal wear and tear on the bottom from the stovetop.

    • Robin says

I don’t understand why no comments mention that yes, the handle stays cool, but the smaller handle directly across from handle does not. It will burn you if you don’t use a potholder. I don’t use mine frequently enough to determine non stick issue. I would not buy again.

So I have read a bunch of stuff about the Always pan. Still haven’t found a critical detail – what is its diameter and depth? 8 inch? 12 inch? It probably says somewhere, I just haven’t seen it.

    • Avatar for Dana @ Minimalist BakerSupport @ Minimalist Baker says

Hi Kathy! According to their website the Always pan is 10” diameter, 2.7” depth, 2.6qt capacity.

I purchased this pan around April 2021. It’s now October & the non stick has worn completely off. I agree with this entire review. The heat distribution of this pan was awesome! I fell so in love with this pan for like the first 4 months. I took extra special care for it & let no one else touch it. Suffice it to say, since the non stick wore off, I don’t even use it. Everything sticks and the clean up is such a hassle. Money absolutely wasted. Lucky for the company they don’t off any money back guarantees because they’d be out of business. Well overpriced for 6 months of use.

Thank you so much for this review. I love the looks of this pan. My husband said he would get it for me for Christmas because I thought it was just to expensive. I think I’m going to pass on it!

      • Claire says

I hate this pan! It takes forever to heat and when I tried cooking an egg it totally stuck. I just cooked a frozen veggie burger and it was cold in the middle. My old cheap non stick pan did not have this problem. I have two friends who bought it last year (like me) and non of us are happy with it. Only positive is that it is easy to clean. Don’t waste your money.

  43. Shane says

So, for me, no issues… i have had mine since Feb 2021 and it is still non stick even with Eggs. I have always used a little EV olive oil with everything i cook in it, so maybe thats why? I am so happy with it i even bought the the new Perfect Pot.

I have read your review and many responses that it most likely will loose non stick function. So I decided to look at what other pan minimalist baker would recommend and The always pan is part of the essential kitchen products. So is it still recommended?

      • Avatar for Dana @ Minimalist BakerSupport @ Minimalist Baker says

Hi Jenn, a reader (Anne) suggested a helpful way to restore the non-stick coating. We tried the method and found it helped somewhat, though it is unfortunate that it doesn’t hold up better. We haven’t found another pan that we prefer and still use our Always Pan! If you press “ctrl+f” on a PC or “command+f” on a mac, a find bar should pop up that allows you to search for the comment from Anne.

I just saw an ad for this pan (no mention of price), and said this is for me! So I searched for the price and reviews. I came across this site and want to say, this was by far my most favorite and most helpful review of a product ever. Thank you.

Everything you said are my exact feelings. I am at the 6 month mark, have you the pan everyday since I’ve gotten it / multiple times a day and have no complaints. However, month 6 .. and it’s sticking. Even when I make my Just Egg using a little oil, it sticks so it’s a bummer. I feel like I got my use out of it I guess but why is it sticking after such a short time ? Kind of a bummer ..

    • Diana says

I am so upset. I bought 6 pans for myself and family. I have used mine for 8 months and have decided to toss it out today. EVERYTHING is sticking to the pan. It’s a nightmare. Do not buy this. Total waste of money!!!

  45. Kristi says

I wasn’t sure if I was doing something wrong so I read your thorough review and the comments. Just like so many others, our pan is starting to lose its non-stick quality. We’ve had it for 7 months. I have been very disciplined with taking care of it and only a few times have had to use higher heat. Fried eggs haven’t been so much an issue as scrambled, which lately are a nightmare. I avoid metal utensils except if needed for serving and then very gently, though my husband tends to bang the spoon on the side to remove excess. It’s so disappointing because six months prior, we had Green Pans (white ceramic ones) and they too stick like crazy after 6 months. I guess I’m still on the hunt. I’ll use this pan for stove braising and steaming, sautéing but I think my scrambling days are over.

      • kristi says

I guess it doesn’t stick “worse” than stainless steel but it certainly goes against the entire point of the ease of nonstick, especially for the price. It’s such a pretty pan and it’s great in other ways but the difference from day 1 and day 180 is remarkable.

  46. Sarah says

I guess this pan isn’t really good for beginners. My non-stick went away after 5 uses even with butter, and I even cleaned it with soapy water and the their recommended sponge after each use. It was advertise as it not even really needing cooking spray or butter! But I could hardly flip pancakes and almost had a mental breakdown lol. I got it as a gift and once I saw the price I was mortified. It’s so not worth it, particularly if you’re a college student that doesn’t have time to research every detail to do upkeep.

  47. Nina says

Totally agree with the review and comments. I loved my pan when it first arrived, so pretty and coating was great. 10 months later, the coating has worn off and I am ready to throw it in the trash.

Very sad as I loved the look.

Such a bummer! A reader did comment about a trick for restoring the coating, but we haven’t tried it. If you press “ctrl+f” on a PC or “command+f” on a mac, a find bar should pop up that allows you to search for specific words (try “restore”) in the post and comments. Hope that helps!

I was about to buy the pan for my daughter. But because of the high price and the “ non stick” wear fading, I deemed it just not worth good money that would be spent on it. The review was extremely helpful.

I purchased this pan less than 1 year ago. Like the majority of the reviews, I began having issues at about the 6 mo. range. I emailed the company, not expecting much to come of it, and I will say they were fast to respond, very friendly, and offered me a full refund or exchange, abd even sent me a return label for my current pan. I’m still torn on the refund or exchange, but I have enjoyed using the pan. If I spray it with EV olive oil I don’t have any issues so it’s a matter of if I want to go through all this in 6 mos. again.

  51. Mimi says

Update: I returned the Always Pan via UPS on Friday, and came home to find another email from someone else on the team. I’m copying it here for anyone who has similar questions to mine:

“Our Always Pan has an interior coating that is so-gel non-stick coating. It is made primarily from silicon dioxide which is known in the cookware industry as ceramic non-stick. It’s tested not only to the standards of a ceramic coating (meaning no heavy metals are able to pass through the coating) but also to the standards of a polymeric coating. This means that absolutely nothing can pass through the coating making it one of the safest non-stick options available. It’s approved by both the FDA as well as EU standards for the highest level of food safety. To help preserve our non-stick coating, we recommend cooking on low to medium heat with high smoke-point fats (refined coconut, avocado, peanut, extra virgin olive oils and clarified butter, aka ghee). We also recommend using the wooden utensil provided or another soft utensil (any wood, silicone, or nylon utensils work great!). Metal spatulas, spoons, knives, forks, or other sharp objects can scratch the coating, which will make it less non-stick. We also recommend hand washing to help ensure the non-stick coating lasts for years to come.”
    ——–
Although I loved the look of the pan, I have no regrets about returning it because it didn’t meet my needs. Had I known this information initially, I I wouldn’t have ordered it.

I purchased this pan in Aug 2020, loved it too! But the non stick is already gone and it’s such a pain to wash…so disappointing.

  53. Mimi says

    Dana,

Thank you for the extensive feedback on the Always Pan. I treated myself to one for my birthday this month. I thought I had researched it thoroughly but I am “oil-free” so I was confused when the insert in the package said “A little fat goes a long way. 1-2 tablespoons of high smoke point oil is more than enough to lightly coat the entire surface and keep your pan non-stick for years to come.” Maybe it’s just me, but that implied that the oil was a one time thing to temper the pan. I emailed them and asked about using water or broth to saute. Kara responded as follows:

Apologies for any confusion! We don’t usually recommend heating a pan with nothing in it so whether heating with water, broth, or a tiny bit of high-smoke point oil is always recommended.

Compared to water or broth, oil reacts differently when it heats up. The viscosity changes and it works with the ceramic coating of the pan to provide the nonstick effect. Where water will steam off, the hot oil will spread out to coat the pan, providing both protection and lubrication – this ensures that your non-stick coating lasts for as long as possible.

The Always Pan can still work with water or broth, however, if you wish to preserve the non-stick coating for as long as possible, we always recommend cooking with low-medium heat with a little oil to protect the surface.”
    ————–
Based on all of the info, I cannot justify the cost of this pan for only @6 months of use. I will look forward to reviews of the other cookware that you are looking into. Meanwhile, I will stick to my stainless steel, cast iron, and ceramic over cast iron cookware that have served me well for the 30 years that I have been a vegan cooking instructor.

Thank you so much for your transparent and honest review! Always Pan has a special and is offering their pans for $75, so I was going to buy 4 of these as gifts for my daughters whom all love to cook!

FYI you should probably know (and for anyone else that sees this!) that Always Pan is sold via fromourplace.com only! I have seen the $75 always pan “on sale” when i was looking online from a website called alwayspanshop.com – only to realize that its a counterfeit website using their pics and logos etc. If you also carefully read their about us section, their english is a bit….off.

So please be careful not to fall for those gimmicks! :) Usually when things seem too good to be true (>50% discount), they mostly are. Hope this helps for anyone that comes across the same website!

Thank you so much. I’ve never had a ceramic “non-stick” that remained non-stick for very long. I decided to wait many months, and then see if anyone had commented on this feature. I’m sad it didn’t remain that way, for everyone’s sake. However, I am grateful to you for saving me money. I will continue to use my “non-stick” pans with a little oil until they no longer work, then replace them for less money than an Always Pan.

Now if I could just get my cast iron and carbon steel to be as slick as everyone says they should be. I keep using seasoning tips but they never truly get non-stick.

      Thanks again.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, FRIENDS! I just got the Always Pan last week. I used it gently TWICE and as I was putting it away last night I noticed residue on the bottom of the pan. Thinking it was leftover dish soap, I wiped it with my finger and came away with metallic nonstick coating! I cannot believe such an expensive pan failed after two gentle uses. Extremely disappointed in the quality of this hunk of junk. When I think about the $145 price tag, and realize it would have taken me 5 hours of working my horrible job to hit that amount, I feel slightly ill. LUCKILY their customer service was helpful and I’ll be able to return it for a refund. Just need to dumpster-dive into my recycling bin to try to find the box!

Hi- I saw this pan mentioned on Mark Bittman’s website maybe in October (2020) and decided to order it. I cook a lot and have all manner of pans including cast iron, Staub and Le Creuset. While I love those pans, they are heavy. And I just haven’t been able to love my cast iron skillet. Anyways, my daughter-who eats eggs almost every day and also stir fries a lot for lunch- my husband who makes eggs and French toast and I- who cook constantly use this pan multiple times a day. My daughter is an impatient cook and uses high heat almost exclusively. We use plenty of different oils. I have a ton of silicone and wooden utensils, so we do not ever use metal with the pan. It cleans up like a dream – with just a sponge- and sits on the stove at all times, which I have never done with any other pan. Some of the pans I am used to working with are bigger and unwieldy and hard on my wrist when I turn foods out. Note the Always Pan. It’s very easy and I love that it steams, although I use a separate steamer for veggies since I already have one. But it’s good for when we are steaming a lot of different Asian buns. I also like the spout. I hope the coating stays intact for quite some time. We have had it in heavy rotation since October and so far, so good.

  57. Charles E. says

I’m a trained cook and at home, I’ve tried them all, from super expensive to super cheap and in the end they all lose their non-stick properties after 12 months in the best of cases. And despite never cooking anything at high heat, I have cast-iron for that, not a single company will honour their life warranty. The most common excuse is, you’ve used it on high heat. But what is high heat? Medium on a coil is not like induction and it’s not like gas. In the end, my solution is easy, I find one that I like and that goes on major sale, and I buy two and use one for 6 months and throw it out and then use the other one. It is far from environmentally friendly, but to be honest, choosing non-stick will always be a non-environmentally decision, because they all have an expiry date as opposed to steel and cast-iron which can last decades. For those looking for a long term solution, find an old smooth surface cast-iron pan and season it properly and it will almost be as non-stick as any non PFOA pan.

    • Avatar for Dana @ Minimalist BakerDana @ Minimalist Baker says

I hear that! That’s why I think I’ll stop reaching for them altogether. My cast iron is indestructible, as are my stainless steel pots. I do have one non stick that’s not as non-toxic as the Always Pan claims to be, but I only use it for special occasions (crepes, sticky foods, etc.). Thanks for the feedback!

    • Paula says

You throw a pan out every 6 months? Do you not care about the planet at all? I’ve had my stainless steel Pans for 6 years. I don’t get why people buy something then dispose of it so quickly. You’re just contributing to landfill in a massive way.

I’ve come to believe that all nonstick is at best a temporary wonder. Recently got some tri-ply copper pans and they are more nonstick than my nonstick pan! I can’t imagine paying almost $150 for a pan that I’ll have to replace in a year. Plus the environmental cost of “disposable” cookware.
I was nervous to fry eggs in my new pans but, once preheated and with a pat of butter, no problem! Actually took a picture of the pan after feeding the eggs! 😉

I have found Tramontina pro line pans to be the best for non-stick. I usually get 1-2 years out of them before I see eggs sticking. At about $35, I get one I use for omlettes and fried eggs, but I also use it for smaller sauteeing. At $35 you cannot beat it.

          • Linda says

Tramontina pro line pans? How toxic are they? My husband loves eggs, but no matter if he makes them, I make them–always a stuck mess to clean off pans. He’s always asking about getting a non stick pan. I”m always concerned about toxins on these pans. Thanks.

  60. Joy Greene says

Same here. LOVED it at first, and now eggs are always stuck and hard to scrape off, and other items are starting to stick as well. I’ve mostly used over medium heat and ALWAYS hand wash without abrasive sponges. Now I have to use the scrubbing side of the sponge to clean, or else I should throw it away because it can’t be cleaned :(.

At this point, I can still use it for steaming veggies and fish, which it does a good job with. But that’s about it.

I thought that cooking with aluminum was said to be toxic? Same with foil?
Maybe it has changed, but I feel like that was partially why I was skeptical of the pan as well. Cast iron always wins!!! I love seeing your posts with cast iron too 😉

    • Jeanne says

Thanks for the reviews! I had the same issues with green pans, and read online tips. It was said not to use olive oil, and to let it cool completely before han washing. I also read that you can lightly clean it with a Mr Clean white sponge, which I have done. That has helped a lot.
I wish the Always pan had better reviews and wasn’t so pricey!

        • JLB says

They are made of melamine foam, or Formaldehyde-melamine-sodium bisulfite copolymer.

“While the compound ingredient mentioned above does contain the word formaldehyde, it’s part of a chemical name. Formaldehyde itself is not an actual ingredient in the sponges. Magic Sponges are non-toxic and safe for household use.”

They are, however, abrasive, so I would t recommend using one on the pan.

      • JLB says

I would not recommend cleaning it with a Magic Eraser. They will get the job done, but they are abrasive and will wear the coating down on the pan.

And while they themselves aren’t toxic, they will still leave microplastics on the pan after cleaning.

  64. Michelle C says

I got the Always pan a few months ago and am still loving it. I have been skeptical though of the “non toxic” coating all along – wondering how it can be SO non-stick! But now that you say the non stick coating “wore off” on your pan – I’m wondering even more about the coating! What IS it made of? And if it’s “wearing off”…. is it going into our food?!
I really do love this pan! Hope mine lasts longer than 6 months! But also hope the coating really is non toxic!

    • Avatar for Dana @ Minimalist BakerDana @ Minimalist Baker says

I am not super concerned about the non-toxic coating, as they seem to be as transparent about that as possible without giving away proprietary information. But the coating wearing off was more upsetting. I hope you continue to love it though! I still use ours, just not for non-stick.

  65. GNovos says

Whoa, what a timely update! I just saw this pan in your products page today & was considering ordering it! Thanks for the update! Do you still recommend the Calphalon stainless? I have 2 All-Clad pans I despise; they just mark & don’t clean as well as my old calphalon or even my parent’s old Farberware :( I’d be curious to your thoughts! thank you! Be well & wishing you a speedy recovery on your arm! :)

    • Avatar for Dana @ Minimalist BakerDana @ Minimalist Baker says

That’s kind! So I do still use the Calphalon stainless steel pots as they always get clean no matter what (with the help of some bar keeper’s friend and a sponge). But they are by no means non-stick and I don’t use them for things other than soups, stews, and sauces. When I’m cooking things like eggs, pancakes, and things that I want a “non-stick” for, I’ve still been reaching for my cast iron (I’m just sure to add a little oil and keep it well seasoned). But I will be trying out some new cookware soon at the recommendation of a few friends and readers and will share if I find anything I like!

      • Jordan says

I look forward to your future reviews! I bought the Always Pan for my next place after reading your initial review and now that it finally arrived + your 6 month update came out, I will be returning it before ever getting to use it. Bummer, but thanks for being transparent!

I have been using the always pan daily for a couple months and I DO NOT recommend it. First two months great then it became non stick. I also wasn’t aware it wasn’t meant for high heat. I honestly don’t understand the point of a pan that can’t be used over high heat especially a pan that claims to be so versatile and is so expensive. Anyway thank for your review haha I should have waited for it before I purchased it.

    • Avatar for Dana @ Minimalist BakerDana @ Minimalist Baker says

Thanks for sharing, Rondelle! The first 6 months were so great for us, too. But after that, the nonstick wore off. Just updated the review this week! Sorry the same happened to you. And I agree, it should be safe to use over medium / medium high heat.

I know!! I had ordered a second one b/c I loved it SO much (we were happily using it every day!), but I decided to return the second one since the nonstick didn’t hold up as well as I’d hoped. It’s still a good pan for other things, just not nonstick unfortunately!

    • Anne says

I hope you see this. I had the same problem. There’s a few steps you can do to fix this or help it. These are the tips the company gave me:

“To restore the non-stick coating, boiling a little water in your Always Pan, and then (after cooling slightly) giving it a scrub with a non-abrasive sponge should do the trick! If you’ve still got some sticking, we suggest soaking it overnight with warm soapy water and giving it a scrub with a non-abrasive sponge. And as a last resort, if those don’t quite do the trick, you can try baking soda with some vinegar and scrubbing with a non-abrasive sponge too.”

I did step one, twice. Then I did step 1 again BUT I put soap on the sponge, and washed the pan immediately. Used a rubber bottle washer things to push the non scratch sponge that they provide. I then left it soaking for a few hours.

I just finished cooking in it. I’m happy to report that not one grain or rice stuck to the pan! Woohoo. I don’t think it’s exactly like it was 6 months ago but definitely better. I may repeat my version of step 1 again.

They also said they will exchange the pan if it’s not restored to my liking.

      Hope this helps!

  68. Talia Attaille says

What is the base metal of this pan? There isn’t a hint of what is under the coating! Is it aluminum, steel, stainless steel, or some secret alloy? Isn’t full disclosure of all materials required?

      • Rachel L says

I agree that it was super frustrating to have the non-stick wear off! I would never pay this much for a pan that isn’t oven safe and isn’t non-stick. It also wasn’t clear in the instructions not to use with high heat and after about a week we got burn marks on the outside of the pan so it also isn’t even pretty anymore. This was a waste of money and when I contacted customer support they just offered the advice not to use high heat and how to clean it but no real solutions or to offer a replacement. Next purchase will be an enameled cast iron skillet, I’d rather have functionality than lightweight or looks.

We love this pan. I purchased a cast iron pan, a “green type” non stick pan and this pan all around the same time. I have to say I use the cast iron in a different way and won’t compare it to this, but the other non stick pan is a good comparison. I tried to be very careful with both but we have kids and they cook and do dishes and both have been put to the test. This pan takes a beating and still performs! I’m buying my son-in-law one for his birthday. We really like the forgiving nature of the coating. The size is great, cleanup is a breeze and the style is perfect. Thanks for the review!

  70. Gregg says

I think the question for non-stick pans is always how long the coating will last. You didn’t report on this, nor does the website mention it. I’ve NEVER had one that lasted more than a year, so I’m not going to be fooled again. BTW, “exclusive” means that no independent agency is allowed to test the coating for potential chemicals, that is, the company can keep it’s formula as a trade secret.

Cooking a single egg is not a very good test. Look up America’s Test Kitchen on how they test nonstick pans. They cook 50 eggs in a row and report on how many eggs it took to start sticking. None of the pans actually made it to 50. They bang the pans (as if dropped) and report on the dents and if the handle fell off. They see how well the pan sears meats, and what damage is caused by dishwashers.

America’s Test Kitchen is a godsend. I think “nonstick” is really just a gimmick. You love it until it’s too late to return it when it starts sticking. I have a large TFal nonstick skillet that I love for omelettes, but even then, I use a spray of Pam.

As an FYI, I got my Always pan last year and also loved it. For a while. But the non-stick coating has been increasingly worn away and in the last few weeks, everything sticks. Even oil doesn’t fix this since the pan bottom is a bit domed so the oil runs to the sides. Very frustrating. I really think people are better off buying a ceramic braising pan or an All-Clad for the price.

Thanks for sharing! We’re still going strong with ours (6 months), but will continue posting updates!

China. They say in a responsible factory run by a woman….
That was what led me to look for independent reviews, thank goodness for Dana. I trust that she would never badmouth a good product and was initially so happy with it that I could feel the disappointment in the update.
I’m super disappointed all the way around… LA based company (made in China), so versatile (but watch the heat, stay out of the oven and hand wash…)
To me a lie of omission is still a lie.
Shame. My Le crueset and calphalon are heavy but true

    • KC says

Totally agree with you! Ours became horrible to use after 2 months, and we were super careful and taking exceptional care of it.

Also, I saw in response to a comment on Instagram that they do not recommend using above low/low-medium heat….which is super limiting.

Would not buy again or recommend to a friend. Back to my All-Clads.

      • Noelle says

Geeeez. What is the point of a pan if you aren’t supposed to use it above medium heat? Sounds a but scammy, tbh. You need higher heat to steam, to boil, to saute, to stir-fry, to sear…

  72. SGC says

Why wouldn’t someone want to purchase a STAUB pan? They run for close to the same price. Does just as well and transfers in the oven.

Hi! I’ve been trying to cook with no oil in my Always Pan, and I have found the food to be sticking. Do you have any recommendations for how to cook with no oil in this pan and not stick?

    • Avatar for Dana @ Minimalist BakerSupport @ Minimalist Baker says

Hi Elizabeth, have you tried adding a little bit of water? That works well for sautéing. If you haven’t seen this guide on cooking with less oil, we think you might find it helpful.

  74. Taylor says

I was lured in as well! I got the sage color which is beautiful. So far I really like it and it is very non-stick–only complaint is that I like to make a large quantity of food to have leftovers for 2 and I wish it was a little bigger. But still glad I got it and it’s perfect for smaller portions.

  75. Roger Cole says

What is the diameter of the part in contact with the stove? I have an LG induction range and the small burner (6.5″ diameter markings) is too close to the edge of the stove, making the Always Pan sit well off center. The pan would sit on the middle size burner (8″ diameter) fine, but is it too large to work properly?

    • Avatar for Dana @ Minimalist BakerDana @ Minimalist Baker says

It’s a patented nonstick, nontoxic coating. You can learn more about it on the company’s website!

  76. Claire M says

Thanks for the great review! LA based but made in China… it’s one of my sticking points, but the factory seems ok. Just hard to justify the similar price compared to Le Creuset or All-Clad but for cheaper aluminum/materials in general. It is pretty though. Sadly, outside the US, the shipping is really a killer :(

  77. Fran Perreault says

Hi there. Thank you for the review. I have searched and have yet to find what the core of this pan is made of. What is the nonstick coating sitting on? Is it aluminum? Thank you :)

  78. Ryan Patterson says

Thanks for the thorough review. I get easily lured in by aesthetics so this was helpful to know the performance of the pan lives up to the design. The color choices may ruin the singular nature of the pan, since I want them all, lol.

  79. Adrienne Johnson says

Can anyone vouch for how long the nonstick capability lasts? I’ve heard that it’s anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months with this pan. I do tend to buy nonstick ceramic pans every few years. For the price, I’d like it to last for a while!

    • Avatar for Dana @ Minimalist BakerDana @ Minimalist Baker says

Adrienne, as I mentioned in another comment it is quite a durable nonstick! we’ve had it for 4 months so far and use it almost daily with no signs of wear. But perhaps others who’ve had it longer can chime in!

Hi Louis, we bought this product and are simply sharing our unbiased (unsponsored) review. And we receive a very small affiliate payment if our link is used, which we openly disclose.

        • Rachel says

This is a very odd comment based on the fact the Minimalist Baker clearly disclosed that they purchased the pan and received know compensation for their review. They even made it clear they will get a small commission if purchased through the link.
Thank-you for the review it was very informative although, I am still undecided on the pan. Wish it was made in North America.

not worth it. it is basically a ceramic pan that is deep- which I have bought a flat wok style pan at TJ MAXX for $14-20 and it works very well and it is ceramic non stick. That is a $120 savings!! I also see similar pans at Grocery Outlet and Aliexpress- as we know they are all made in China anyways- the large price tag is simply MARKETING. TJ Maxx had an array of nice colors and ‘brands’. The one i bought was “Natural Elements” it was $20 and is about 13 inches wide and 4 inches deep/ ceramic non stick. The same Natural Elements pan on their own website is $100 but at TJ Maxx it was $20. cheers

Hi! I just bought the Always Pan, and I’m so excited to try it (and it was also $30 off today, which was a bonus). I am wondering what spatula you use with this pan, particularly when cooking eggs. What brand is the blue one you are using in the photo above? I haven’t been able to find a spatula I love, and I trust your opinion on cookware! Thank you!

  82. Cassie says

I bought the pan a few months ago and am completely in love. I got it in black and regret not getting it in green so may pick up another one, and get another foodie friend one as a birthday gift. I also 100% recommend!

      • Avatar for Dana @ Minimalist BakerDana @ Minimalist Baker says

Adrienne, I can say ours is still very nonstick at 4 months in! Will report back here if there are any other updates.

      • Tony says

Ours stopped being non-stick after 6 months. It’s great while it lasted. Then everything started to stick. At this point we have to add so much oil that it’s essentially a deep fryer.

Their customer service is not helpful either. The response is that the Always pan can only handle up to medium heat. If the user ever turns on high heat on the stovetop, then all bets are off.

I’d steer clear away from the Always pan unless you’re OK with replacing it every 6 months.

        • Avatar for Dana @ Minimalist BakerDana @ Minimalist Baker says

Interesting! We’ve had ours for ~6 months now and it’s still going strong. Will report back if we encounter any similar issues.

          • Jane Smith says

Thanks Tony, I would have brought this pan if it wasn’t for this Website reviews. Tony you help me make a decision NOT to buy this Always Pan and I will steer clear..

And Dana please make up your mind, you either had the pan for 4 or 6 months..

          • Avatar for Dana @ Minimalist BakerDana @ Minimalist Baker says

Hi Jane! Sorry for the confusion. We absolutely loved it for the 6 months, and right around that time it started to lose its nonstick despite hand washing and avoiding high heat. I still use it, but wouldn’t recommend it to people who are looking for a solid non-stick pan. We just updated the post today with our thoughts!

    • Avatar for Dana @ Minimalist BakerSupport @ Minimalist Baker says

Hi Marilaur, here’s what it says in the FAQs on the Our Place website: “Our Always Pan was designed to be compatible with all stovetops! Ideally, the ring on your stovetop is aligned with the center (4.5 to 6 inch diameter) of the pan to ensure a solid magnetic connection. Typically that means using the smallest burner if you’ve got an induction stove!”

  83. Lorena says

I’ve been thinking of purchasing this pan for some time but the idea that is a non-stick pan ends up turning me away, as great as it seems. However, if the company does in fact release the results of their testing in regards to it being non-toxic and show proof, I will definitely buy one. Thank you for your detailed review!

  84. Jasmine says

    Hi,

Thanks for this incredibly detailed review! I just have a question about steaming: Is the pan deep enough that when you use the steaming basket, the food will not touch the boiling water?

I really want to get something that steams (not boils!) food (such as dumplings) but I’m worried that the pan is too shallow.

  85. Adriane Winge says

I’ve had my eye on this pan for a few months now so this review has definitely solidified my decision to purchase so thank you!

Also, would you share the recipe or link to the spaghetti squash recipe shown in your photos.

    Cheers!
