DIY Pumpkin Pie Spice

  • 1 ½ Tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp ground clove
  • 1 pinch ground allspice
  • 1/8 tsp fresh ground black pepper (optional)
  • 1/8 tsp ground cardamom (optional)


  1. To a small bowl, add cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, clove, allspice, black pepper (optional), and cardamom (optional) and stir to combine. 

  2. Taste test and adjust according to personal preference, adding more cinnamon for sweetness, ginger for spiciness, nutmeg for nuttiness, black pepper for spice, or clove, allspice, or cardamom for pungency. 

  3. Store in a sealed container up to 6 months or in the refrigerator for longer.
