September’s over? How did that even happen? I guess time really does fly – I just thought always that was something old people said when they were reflecting on their childhood. But it’s true I tell you, it’s true!
This month was a busy one, with the release of a new product (YAY), the finalizing of another future product (stay tuned!), several traveling adventures, and a ton of new recipes.
This end-of-month recap will highlight everything we accomplished in September, from recipes to resources and more, starting with food eats.

Choose my favorite recipe? I could never do that! But if I must: The World’s Easiest Cinnamon Rolls – c’mon. Doughy, cinnamon-y goodness covered in frosting and they only require SEVEN ingredients? I’ll take

What We Did
Among other things, this month we took trips to Kansas City, Arizona and San Diego. If you couldn’t tell already, we love to travel. Here are a few highlights of our busy September:
- We met up with Kate of Cookie and Kate at Beer Kitchen in KC. Awesome burgers. Awesome beer. Awesome company. Kate, can we please be besties?
- We also met up with Ali of Gimme Some Oven at Westside Local in KC, where we enjoyed a delicious Sunday brunch and time getting to know the wonderful Ali. If you haven’t been to her site, get ready to drool.
- We hiked Torrey Pines, got takeout from Pizza Nova and loved the coffee, tea and snacks at Pannikin in San Diego. If we moved to a coastal city (besides Portland, OR), that would be the one.
- Last but not least, Chalkboard Magazine featured our take on Juicing without a Juicer. See our original post here.
What We’re Craving
Did I really have a choice here? Apples are beginning to flood the markets and I can’t get enough of them! Not only are they my favorite snack, they’re John’s favorite pie filling and one of my absolute favorite fall flavors. Get ready for lots of apple-infused goodness on Minimalist Baker in October. Cheers!
That does it. See you back tomorrow for a new recipe (one of my favorites to date)!
