Heyyy-a. It’s that time of the month again where it’s somehow over and we’re all supposed to continue onto September without acting like we’re hurling at 2014 faster than Miley Cyrus can gyrate her 3 centimeter-wide pelvis. Here we go.
It’s almost fall and I’m SO excited for cooler temps, but before we get into all-things apple and pumpkin and crisp let’s take a look at what we cooked up on Minimalist Baker in August.

What We Made //Resources
NEWS FLASH: We have a blogger resources page full of tutorials on helping food bloggers – pro, amateur and aspiring – to blog better, or as I like to say, “blog like a boss.” This month we added a few new helpful resources, one of which being How to Hide Text Behind an Image in Photoshop, like in the image above. Check out the short video and then start mastering this skill today. So easy.
What We Did
This month was more quiet for us travel-wise, but we did still manage to:
- Start brewing our own kombucha! More details to come soon.
- Re-organize our pantry using mason jars.
- Get featured in the Wichita Eagle for being bums in a local park. Go us.
What We’re Craving
Lastly, the flavor we’re most looking forward to experimenting with in September: Eggplant. I know, it’s no fudge, but eggplant is abundant in September and full of good-for-you vitamins and nutrients like fiber, manganese and antioxidants, just to name a few. Check out more details on this naughty nightshade vegetable here.
That does it. See ya back Monday for a new recipe!
