Remember that coconut ice cream we made?

Yeah, you’re gonna need that. It’s coffee chocolate milkshake time (as promised).

Brewing coffee for our 3-ingredient Vegan Mocha Shake recipe

This mocha milkshake is inspired by one of my favorite childhood desserts – Arby’s Jamocha milkshake.

I know – shame, shame. But I was a bit of a junk food addict growing up – true story.

Cocoa powder, vegan ice cream, and coffee for making a delicious vegan milkshake

If you’ve never had a Jamocha shake, imagine vanilla ice cream blended with chocolate syrup and coffee. My version is a bit healthier than the original with no added sugar, thanks to cocoa powder, plus it’s vegan-friendly.

It also requires just 5 minutes and 3 basic ingredients once you’ve made (or bought) your coconut ice cream.

This shake is beyond dreamy. It’s:

Creamy
Chocolaty
Coffee-infused
Coconutty
& Perfectly sweet

This makes the perfect dessert when you’re wanting something creamy and cold or when a serious coffee craving strikes (i.e. every minute of the day).

I can’t have dairy but my dairy-loving boyfriend had been craving a milkshake the other night and mocha milkshakes just happen to be his favorite, so I decided to give this a whirl. He said it was phenomenal even for someone who could have dairy. After that, I just had to try it for myself. However, I don’t like coffee or chocolate so I made mine using 1/2 cup of vanilla almond milk for the liquid and added two tablespoons of peanut butter for the flavoring. WOW – it was so insanely good. I hadn’t had a milkshake in two years and I started crying. Thanks for sharing!

The total fat content is 34g. That is not healthy. please I don’t want to hear how coconut is healthy. It is saturated. The bad fat.

  6. Janel | Peach and the Cobbler says

Yes yes yes! Since it has coffee, we can consider this our morning cup o’ joe, right?! Can’t wait to try it!
