Reviews:

“The Minimalist Baker Photography e-course will undoubtedly change the way you look at your food photography. I LOVED Dana’s personalized tips, video tutorials, and how easy it was to navigate through the course. I found myself learning much more than I expected and highly recommend this course to both beginners and advanced food photographers/bloggers; it will truly help you bring your blog to life!”

- Monique Volz, AmbitiousKitchen.com

“I started the Food Photography E-Course with every intention of reading a few sections a day over several days, but once I started I couldn’t stop! Full of easy to understand information from breaking down confusing settings on a DSLR camera, to how to style and light photographs, and even Photoshop editing tutorials, I found value in each and every course in the e-course. I’m so inspired to start taking better photographs!”

- Kristin Porter, Iowagirleats.com

“Dana and John have put together an incredible resource that you will find yourself referring to time and time again.  They’ve touched on everything from camera basics, to understanding things like aperture and shutter speed, to simple ways to style your photos, and so much more.  If you’re thinking about getting more serious with your food photography but are not sure where to start, this is definitely for you!”

- Ashley McLaughlin, Edibleperspective.com

“After recently taking and being disappointed with an online course on photography styling – with a hefty registration fee! – I came across the Minimalist Baker photography e-course.  I figured at only $19.99, what did I have to lose?  To say I was pleasantly surprised is a major understatement!  With just the first few lessons, I learned more than I had in my previous course and was immediately able to put the information Dana and John shared to work.  I now realize just how much I needed this course!”

- Melanie Bauer, Melaniemakes.com

“This E-course is worth every penny. I went from having 1 image in a month accepted to foodgawker, to ALL of them being accepted. This has definitely boosted my traffic.”

- Jennifer Pantin, Lorimerkitchen.com

F.A.Q.s:

Do I need a DSLR to take this course?

No! This course was designed to allow you to use what you have and start learning about food photography. Although we think you’ll get more out of the course if you do have a DSLR, it’s by no means necessary. Not only that, once you’re a member, you’re always a member. Take the course today and learn some of the tips with your current camera and then go back through it and review the material if you upgrade.

Do I need expensive software to take this course?

No! We do show a number of tutorials using Photoshop, but you can learn the principles and work on photos in any type of software. However, we do think Photoshop would be a great investment if you’re starting to do lots of editing.

What is your refund policy?

Simple! We offer a 7-day no hassle refund policy. Just shoot us an email at john [at] minimalistbaker.com.

Will this course teach me everything I need to know about taking professional food photos?

Well, that’s a loaded question. Really, this course will teach you all the foundational principles you will need to start taking great food photos. However, it’s up to you to devote the time and effort into really learning the art and developing the skills. We designed this course so you wouldn’t have to fumble around not knowing what you were doing (like we did for 2 years) and you can start with a tool-kit of incredibly useful knowledge.

Why are you guys so awesome?

Ok, it’s really Dana who is awesome. But thanks for asking.

I have another question, how do I get it answered?

Email john [at] minimalistbaker.com. We’d be delighted to do our best.

Lastly, why haven’t I bought this yet?

I agree, why not?! Let’s go!
